Performance
All performance figures published on this website are backtested results derived from historical TSLA 15-minute data with $30,000 starting capital unless otherwise stated. Backtested results do not guarantee future performance. Live trading results will differ — sometimes materially — due to slippage, commissions, execution differences, and changing market conditions. As Urban Alpha's live track record develops, live results will be published alongside backtested figures and clearly labelled.
What a Difficult Period Looks Like
2023 was a challenging year for the strategy. Urban Alpha returned 14.2% that year, with a maximum drawdown of $5,054 (the largest peak-to-trough decline in account equity during the year) — larger than the annual profit. Subscribers should be financially and psychologically prepared for periods of this nature. The strategy does not produce linear returns and will experience losing trades, losing weeks, and losing months.
Concentration Risk
Urban Alpha trades a single instrument — Tesla Inc. (TSLA). The strategy's selective entry criteria, volatility-adaptive filters, and end-of-session exit reduce but do not eliminate concentration risk. The primary residual risk is that TSLA's trading characteristics change materially over time — due to changes in institutional participation, index composition, or other structural factors — in ways that affect the strategy's historical edge.
Capital
You should only allocate capital you can afford to lose entirely. Do not subscribe with funds required for living expenses, debt obligations, or any other financial commitment.
